The all-Irish duo of Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow exacted revenge on their USA rivals of Amy Duncan and Lisa McCloskey on day two of the 2012 Curtis Cup at Nairn.
In miserable wet and cold conditions, Maguire and Meadow won their Foursomes encounter 3 & 1 after being on the receiving end of a 5 & 4 defeat a day earlier by the same two Americans.
However it was the USA team who continued their domination and moving ahead to 6 points to 3 after winning the opening two Foursomes matches this morning.
With USA Captain, Pat Cornett watching on but nursing a broken ankle, Amy Anderson continued her unbeaten three match victory run in teaming with Tiffany Lua to win their match 3 & 2 against the GB & I pair of Pam Pretswell and Charley Hull.
Brooke Pancake, who is turning pro after the event, teamed again with Austin Ernst to win their match 2 up against the GB & I combination of Holly Clyburn and Amy Boulden.
