I had the pleasure during this year’s Shell Houston Open to visit Rudy’s Restaurant in northern Houston.

There is plenty of Texas ‘theme’ restaurants scattered all about Houston but there’s none like Rudy’s – it’s Texas to the bone!

And thanks to Art Stricklin (Sports Illustrated) for arranging as he and I along with Bill Nichols (Dallas Morning News) had a good night savouring a real tast of Texas.

As Art suggested:  “There’s no fun being a vegetarian living in Texas”.
