England golfer Paul Casey heads to the third round of the Dubai World Championship sandwiched at six under par between the Race to Dubai rivals of Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald.
Casey carded an equal second best day two round of 66 to be just one stroke behind McIlroy and two clear of Donald who posted a 68 to be four under par.
And with McIlroy up front and Donald just behind, Casey says he’s finding the battle to end the season as European No. 1 very entertaining.
“It is very entertaining but then Rory was brilliant last week, as I only just saw that bunker shot for the first time that he holed on 18 in Hong Kong to win the tournament by two,” said Casey.
“You can see Rory’s excitement but what it meant to him, and right now he’s in control of his own destiny if he wins this week, and Luke doesn’t finish in a certain position.
“So it’s exciting. I’m still a golf fan and I enjoy watching good golf. They are both friends of mine, and I’m not biased in any way as there is cases for either one who is very deserving of the title.”
