With than announcement from Ivor Robson, the official Starter, the 2011 Open Championship was under way.
Kelly was joined on the tee by Australia’s Nathan Green and England’s Danny Willett.
However in contrast to eight years ago when Kelly took an 11, the American walked off this year with a bogey five.
Green, a former Canadian Open champion, had the distinction of taking the lead when he birdied the first while Willett walked away with a regulation par.
