The field for the season-ending DP World Tour Championship has been officially confirmed.

There will be a field of 50 players teeing-up Thursday on the Earth Course here at Jumeirah Estates.

Tournament Director Freddie Schmeisser confirmed to GolfByTourMiss that China’s Hao Tong Lee, currently ranked 53rd on the DP World Tour money-list, is the last player into the US$10m event.

Three players inside the top-53 will not tee-up and they include American Will Zalatoris (No. 6), Belgium’s Thomas Pieters (No. 7) and reigning DP World No. 1 Collin Morikawa (No. 35).

Belgium’s Thomas Detry, and the DP World No. 54, is first reserve.

Schmeisser indicated there will be no ‘affiliate’ members teeing-up while he also said that it is also a first time in some years that it will be an even numbered field.

There is many teeing-up this week, and headed by World No. 1 Rory McIlroy, also with past victory in the Middle East including:

Rory McIlroy (NI): winner of the 2009 and 2015 Dubai Desert Classic, the 2012 and 2015 DP World Tour Championship, the Race to Dubai Champion in 2012, 2014 and 2015, four-time Major winner and three time winner of the FedEx Cup on the PGA Tour.

Ryan Fox (NZ): winner of the 2022 Ras Al Khaimah Classic

Matt Fitzpatrick (ENG): winner of the 2022 US Open and the 2016 and 2020 DP World Tour Championship.

Tommy Fleetwood (ENG): winner of the 2017 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the 2017 Race to Dubai.

Victor Hovland (NOR): winner of the 2022 Dubai Desert Classic.

Shane Lowry (IRE): winner of the 2019 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and The 2019 Open.

Adrian Meronk (POL): Dubai based and winner of the 2022 Horizon Irish Open.

Jordan Smith (ENG): winner of the 2016 Ras Al Khaimah Golf Challenge at Al Hamra Golf Club on the Challenge Tour.

Adrian Otaegui (ESP): Dubai based and winner of the 2022 Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucia Masters.

Jon Rahm (ESP): winner of the 2017 and 2019 DP World Tour Championship, the 2019 Race to Dubai and 2021 US Open.

Pablo Larrazabal (ESP): winner of the 2014 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Tyrrell Hatton (ENG): winner of the 2021 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Guido Migliozzi (ITA): Dubai based and winner of the 2022 Cazoo Open de France.

Adri Arnaus (ESP): Dubai based and winner of the 2022 Catalunya Championship.

Antoine Rozner (FRA): winner of 2020 Golf in Dubai Championship played on the Fire course at Jumeirah Golf Estates.
