Leading UK bookmaker William Hill have pushed out the price of Tiger Woods winning next months Masters from odds of 9/2 to 13/2 following his latest injury that saw him limp off during Sunday’s concluding round in Miami.
But while the odds of Woods winning a 15th Major Championship have ballooned Rory McIlroy has firmed even more as favourite to capture a second Major and a year after his humbling Augusta demise.
The World No. 1 ranked McIlroy has gone from odds of to 4/1 from 9/2 on the back of recent results of second in Arizona, victory at the Honda Classic and third at Doral.
“Mcllroy could easily become as dominant, if not more so than Tiger was in his prime,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
As for other contestants teeing up on the Georgia golfing gem William Hill has provided the following odds:
