Tiger Woods has not contested a Major Championship since 2015 and has not won a Major Championship since victory in the 2008 U.S. Open.
But after just one full four-round tournament in a year and bookmakers have Woods at 20/1 to capture the 2018 Masters at Augusta National.
Ireland-based Paddy Power has triple Major winning Jordan Spieth as the favourite at 6/1 to win the first Major of the New Year.
World No. 1 Dustin Johnson along with four-time Major winning Rory McIlroy are equal 8/1 favourites to be fitted for what would be a first Augusta National members green jacket.
Johnson went into this year’s Masters a red-hot favourite but that before he took a tumble down the staircase of his Masters rented house.
McIlroy will drive down Magnolia Lane next April in what will be ‘Take Four’ in his quest to join five other players to have won all four Major Championship titles.
Woods odds dropped dramatically on the back of his stunning return to competition at last week’s Hero World Challenge where he share ninth place in the elite 18-player field.
The new World No. 668th ranked Woods impressed even his most fiercest critics, headed by the Golf Channel’s Bramble Chamblee, with his golf over the four days of the very tricky, very windy Albany course in the Bahamas.
Four months ago, Woods was ranked 100/1 to be fitted with a fifth green jacket while he dipped to as low as 15/1 last week while contesting the Hero World Challenge.
The 2018 Masters will commence on Thursday 5th April, 2018 and here is Paddy Power’s current odds on the world’s best.
