Albany, Bahamas ….
Tiger Woods traditional Sunday red shirt was near red-hot with the tournament host burning-up the course on day four of the Hero World Challenge.
Woods bounced back from a disappointing third round 75 with a brilliantly outward nine-holes to be five-under for the day on the Albany course.
He headed to the 10th sharing seventh place and while he doubled the 10th. Woods immediately bounced back just missing an eagle putt on 11 but holing out for an easy birdie to get back to four-under for his round.
Woods had been very unlucky not to birdie the first but made-up for it holing birdies putts at the par-5 third hole and the par-3 fifth.
He brilliantly drove the green and the shortened par-4 seventh and then delighted everyone, including tennis superstar Rafa Nadal watching-on, in sinking his 25-foot eagle putt.
Woods went down on his knees watching the putt nearing the hole and then stood tall with both arms in the air when his Bridgestone found the bottom of the cup.
Woods had been three-over through seven holes in Saturday’s testing windy conditions but was now four-under.
The long-time World No. 1 then launched a booming drive down the par-5 ninth only to just catch a greenside bunker with his approach.
Woods, however, was not to be denied landing his bunker shot to three-feet and then calmly walking-up to hole a third birdie of the day.
Woods had used three words ‘Up and Down’ to describe Thursday’s 69 and then after Friday’s 68 he described the round with one word ‘Successful”.
On Saturday, Woods summed-up his 75 as ‘one of the days’.
The final round, and despite the double-bogey on 10, is heading for a ‘Tigerish’ ending.
