Top Swede Could Be Facing Fine For His Shirt Hanging Out.

Would the European Tour fine a player for having his shirt hanging out?

That’s what could happen to Sweden’s Johan Edfors who has been advised on a number of occasions his dress is untidy.

But as the triple Tour winner says the nature of his tight-fitting line of smart Puma clothing means that every time the soon-to-be new father plays a shot, the side of his shirt comes out from under his trousers.

Edfors is one of the most fashionable players competing in Europe and while he doesn’t have the flair of an Ian Poulter, the 36-year old dresses very much like American Rickie Fowler, who is also sponsored by Puma.

“The funny thing is that the Tour spoke to me when I first came out on the Tour when my shirt would be hanging out but then when I started winning they didn’t say anything,” said Edfors.

“But it doesn’t matter if I tuck it in because every time I hit a drive my shirt comes out again.

“So I am trying my best to keep it tucked it but it’s not always easy.”

Edfors was speaking to www.golfbytourmiss.com after carding a six under par 66 on the opening day of the Portugal Masters at Villamoura.

The popular Swede had the unfortunate distinction of winning three times in 2006 but failed to qualify for Ian Woosnam’s European Ryder Cup team.

Edfors looks very similar to Swiss-born tennis ace, Roger Federer.

And his likeness to the former long time World No. 1 ranked Federed reminds us of the tale of Edfors being drawn to play alongside Tiger Woods some years ago in the Dubai Desert Classic.

Woods was asked if he thought it was Federer he was playing alongside rather than Edfors.

Woods responded:  “I said to Johan that he looked more like Roger Federer than Roger Federer.”
