With a day remaining in 2014 and World No.1 Rory McIlroy has been spotted not on a golf course or attending a major sporting  event nor getting ready to celebrate the arrival of a new year.

No, the four-time Major winner was observed ‘in frame’ as the main display in a West Palm Beach optometrist shop window.

And I have to say the photo of McIlroy wearing spectacles bears a striking resemblance to famed rock-and-roll singer Buddy Holly.
