Lowry Lucky To Avoid Serious Injury At Jigger Inn After ‘Wandering’ Damian Lewis Shot.

Irish golfer Shane Lowry was lucky to avoid serious injury while relaxing at the Jigger Inn after his third round in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Lowry had completed his round as was sitting outside of the famous St. Andrews ‘watering hole’ when a golf ball hit by amateur Damian Lewis landed very close to when the double Tour winning Irishman was sitting.

Lewis, who is competing in the Pro-Am event for a first time, describes himself as a ‘wandering golfer’ but the Emmy and Golden Globe winning London-born actor took this description to another level in his first appearance in the event.

And Lewis was astray again down the last of the famed Old Course when he landed his drive on the roof of the Rusacks Hotel.

Lewis was partnering Sweden’s Robert Karlsson but at 16-under par the pair missed the 20-under par cut off mark to play the final round.
