Ryder Cup Venue Turned Into Military Hardware Display.

One can only imagine Colin Montgomerie’s reaction had this been the sight four years ago when he led Europe to victory in the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in Wales.

There is certainly no chance of getting a round of golf on the Welsh course this week and not with Celtic Manor playing host to a NATO conference.

As you can see from the photos below blocking the path of any golf shots was a collection of military aircraft and equipment.

The aircraft is a F-35 Lighting 11 while there was a scout vehicle along with a Foxhound armored vehicle.

Avoid slow play – Please call up all military aircraft.

Please replace your divots – A British-built scout Specialist Vehicle (left) and a Foxhound armoured vehicle (right).

Don't be fooled as this F-35 Lighting Fighter is not all you think it is.

Even with its nose fitted don’t be fooled as this F-35 Lighting Fighter is not all you think it is.

But hold on Monty!

Don’t be fooled as the objects blocking a round of golf at Celtic Manor were full-sized models placed there in advance of the NATO Summit being staged this week.

More than 9,000 British police officers have been deployed across the golf course at the Celtic Manor Resort, in Newport, and along a 13-kilometre (eight-mile) steel fence around the site for the some 67 world leaders gathered for crisis talks on Russia’s role in the war in Ukraine and the growing ISIS concern in the Middle East.
