Dallas Cowboys NFL legend Emmitt Smith made a surprise visit to the Media Centre at the Shell Houston Open.
Smith finished his 15-years NFL career as the all-time leading rusher (18,355 yards) along with the NFL’s record of 164 touchdowns.
Last year, the running back was also inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.
He was born in May, 1969 in Pensacola, Florida but now resides in Dallas, Texas.
Smith played with the Dallas Cowboys from 1990-2002 and the Arizona Cardinals from 2003 to 2004.
Upon entering the Media Centre he was first asked about golf but the subject quickly changed to the current ‘lock out’ situation between the NFL players and administrators.
“Well, it didn’t take you guys long to get off the subject of golf did it?” said Smith laughing.
