David Feherty continues to display a ‘well passed a use-by date’ mentality in remarkably suggesting:  “Tiger Woods is not even limping properly”.

Feherty, who long ago lost his natural comic demeanor and now just puts it on, made the comment about Woods after the struggling 14-time Major winner had played a superb second shot into the downhill par four 13th.

It was clear Woods continues to struggle with injury following his shock withdrawal from last week’s Bridgestone Invitational.

Woods could have easily, as many of Feherty’s fellow commentators were betting on, withdrawn after nine hole but Woods surprised them by heading straight to the 10th tee for the start of his back nine.

Of course, Feherty’s got a controversial history of Woods-related remarks.

A year ago he said of Woods:  “I’m not sure he could hit the sea off an aircraft carrier.”

And in respect to Woods, who has kept people like Feherty in their highly overpaid positions, what Woods doesn’t deserve in the remarks we heard from a former funnyman.
