Padraig Harrington’s Caddy Ronan Flood Given All Clear After Being Struck Down With Illness.

Padraig Harrington’s long-time caddy Ronan Flood has been given the all-clear after being struck down with illness during the second round of the Volvo Champions event in Durban.

Ronan Flood was overcome with illness on the sixth hole in the $US 4m event being staged on the Durban Country Club course.

He was rushed to the clubhouse and attended to by a doctor who treated the fair-skinned Irishman for severe dehydration.  Flood also is an brother-in-law to Harrington.

Harrington immediately sought the help of a spectator as a stand-in caddy before organisers arranged for a replacement caddy.

Flood, who celebrated just prior to Christmas the birth of his second child, has been caddying for Harrington for some time including caddying for Harrington in his 2007 and 2008 British Open successes and 2008 PGA Championship triumph.
