Bernie Rubs Shoulders With Adam Scott In Masters Winning Green Jacket.

It was a special occasion last night at the Australian Golf Writers Association (AGWA) annual dinner.

Present as guest of honour was Australia’s first-ever Masters champion Adam Scott.

I had shaken hands with Adam soon after he won this year’s Masters at Augusta National and last night was extra special as Adam arrived at The Lakes Golf Club wearing the most famous item of clothing in golf – the Augusta members green jacket.

As I have previously pointed out being present to report on the 2013 Masters was the ‘Australian Golf Reporting Grand Slam’ – the first-ever Australian to report on four Australian golfers winning the four majors.

They were Greg Norman’s 1993 Open Championship, Steve Elkington’s 1995 PGA Championship, Geoff Ogilvy’s 2006 US Open win at Winged Foot and Adam Scott’s 2013 Masters triumph.
