Augusta Nationla Green Jacket Has A Few More Visits Before Scott Defends Masters.

With still some five months of his Masters reign still ahead, Adam Scott revealed there is still a number of people close to him over his career he would like to see the famed ‘Green Jacket’.

Under the rules laid down by Augusta National a new champion can wear the jacket anywhere in the world in the first 12 months.

But once Scott’s reign is over, he like every other former champion including Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods, can only wear the ‘green jacket’ forever on the grounds of Augusta National.

However before Scott hangs up the jacket in his special past champions locker he has a few more visits wearing the jacket to those who have been pivotal in his career.

“I still would like to take the green jacket to all the people who have contributed to my career in a way,” said Scott.

“Last week I got the chance when I was in Melbourne to meet my godfather, Kym Mattson.  He came over to my hotel and was blown away.

“There’s also those who have been a part of my career.  I want to go and see Charlie Earp (coach) on night on the Golf Coast wearing it as he was a big part of my life.

“I’d also like to go to the Royal Queensland Golf Club in it.

“I don’t know if there is going to be time to do it all but we can try.  Part of it was wanting to share it with as many people as I can, not just people who’ve had an involvement with my game.”

Scott will wear the green jacket to Saturday night’s annual Australian Golf Writers Dinner at the The Lakes Club in Sydney.
