Tiger Woods has been labelled ‘goofy, dorky-goofy’ by girlfriend Lindsey Vonn.

With Woods competing in this week’s inaugural Turkish Airlines Open Vonn was speaking on a TV chat show about her World No. 1 ranked boyfriend.

“He’s very competitive like me.  We have very similar personalities.  He’s funny, laid back, a great guy, competitive, fun to be with, goofy, dorky-goofy

“He is probably not to be that excited that I just said that.”

A thunderstorm delay meant that the opening round of the $7m Turkish event was delayed three hours and with Woods not teeing off to 2.05pm local time.

Woods had been up early having been spotted at 7am in the gym of the stunning Maxx Royal Hotel.
