Polish Player Posts A 109 In Russian Challenge Tour Event.

Polish golfer Pawel Japol posted one of the highest scores seen for some time on the European Tour – a 37-over par 109.

Japol was contesting the Challenge Tour’s Kharkov Superior Cup at the Superior Golf Club and Resort at Kharkov in the Ukraine.

The 41-year old later withdrew following a round that included five bogeys, two double bogeys, three triple bogeys, a five over par score on the 14th, six-over par score on the sixth and an eight over score on the 13th.

And the Polish player was not alone with six other players shooting in the 90s on day one and with local Ukraine player Peter Volkolup shooting a 99 and completing his last six holes in 15-over par.

Korean Sihwan Kim heads the field by two shots late into his second round on 12-under par.
