McIlroy & Wozniacki Tease Newspapers … No Truth Romance In Break-Up.

One leading Sunday Irish newspaper has been left with egg on it’s face after Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki denied reports of any split in their romance.

McIlroy went onto Twitter to single out the paper after the Dublin-based newspaper ran a story in their Sunday edition.

However late on the same day the same newspaper had removed the story and was back-tracking a serious rate of knots.

And while McIlroy and Wozniacki fueled rumours of a potential split by changing the images on their Twitter page, the pair were seen together on Friday night having dinner in a New York restaurant.

McIlroy also tweeted the following in reference to a source quoted in the Irish Sunday Independent: “I’d love to know who this guy source is… Seems to pop up in the papers all the time and is wrong 99.9% of the time!”

And he added:  ““Just because we changed our Twitter profile picture doesn’t mean that we’re not together.”

The Danish tennis ace then changed her ‘baby’ photo she put on Twitter to a photo again of her and McIlroy and Tweeted:  “Since my prand ofile pic made big headlines I better change it again lol..

And at the Barclays Championship, and the first event of the lucrative FedEx Cup Play-Off Series, McIlroy posted a final round 72 to share 19th place on five under par and six shots behind Australia’s Adam Scott.

Scott shot a final round 66 to win by a shot from four players including Tiger Woods and Justin Rose.

McIlroy spoilt his final round taking a double bogey at the 16th.
