Tiger Woods Departs Oak Hill Without Second Worse PGA Showing.

Tiger Woods left Oak Hill and venue for this week’s PGA Championship with his second worse showing in the season’s year end Major.

Woods headed to the scorer’s hut T43rd at four over par and his poorest showing since missing the cut two years ago in Atlanta.

Woods did birdie three of his closing seven holes but the World No. 1 was hardly a factor this week and failing to break 70 on any of the four days, and just a week after winning an eighth WGC – Bridgestone Invitational by seven shots.

The 14-time Major Champion will head to next April’s Masters staring at looking a six-year Majors famine since capturing his last Major – 2008 US Open

“I put fo[ur good rounds together last week, unfortunately it wasn’t this week,” he said.

“I just didn’t seem to hit it as good and didn’t make many putts until the last few holes.”

Woods results in the Majors this year now read:

Masters – T4th

US Open – T32nd

Open Championship – T6th

PGA Championship – T43rd (tbc)

And when asked to look back on his efforts in the Majors he remarked:  “I was close in two of them.  I was right in there and certainly had a chance to win the Masters and the British this year.

“The other two, I just didn’t hit it good enough, and that’s just the way it goes.”

Woods will now take a break from competition with his biggest challenge:  “Trying to keep up with a four and six year old.”
