Donald Trump Joins Forces With ISM To Bring Tour Events To Aberdeen Course

Donald Trump and International Sports Management have formed a unique relationship which will further European golfing interests.

The global business magnate, television personality and author has called in golf’s top management company as consultants for his growing golfing division.

The Trump Organisation and ISM, whose clients include major champions Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel and Darren Clarke plus former world number one and Ryder Cup star Lee Westwood, will work together on various golfing projects.

ISM will also seek to attract significant golfing events to Trump International Golf Links – a 2,000 acre parcel of land in Aberdeen, Scotland.

“We have recently completed what many consider to be the greatest golf course anywhere in the world,” said Mr. Trump. “Because of its tremendous success, we have also submitted a layout, also designed by Dr. Martin Hawtree, for a second links course. Having Chubby represent us on the championship course will not only be lots of fun, but also of great benefit to the people of Aberdeen and Scotland itself,” he added.

Andrew ‘Chubby’ Chandler, ISM’s group chief executive officer, welcomed the chance to assist and encourage one of the world’s most charismatic figures. “This is a great opportunity for us to work with a fantastic brand,” he said.

“When a player as big as Mr. Trump wants to get involved then we have to encourage him as much as possible,” added Chandler. “Our meetings so far have convinced me just how passionate he is about the game.”

Current properties in Trump’s golfing portfolio include the Blue Monster at Doral which just hosted the highly-rated recent WGC-Cadillac Championship and was closed for a 100 per cent makeover immediately afterwards.

Trump has 14 major golf resorts or clubs not including the five-course, 800-acre Doral facility in Miami.
