Australia’s Jason Day handed match-play specialist Ian Poulter yet another shock this week in snaring third place in the WGC – Accenture Match-Play Championship.
Day, 25 turned around being 2 down after six tholes to go 3up through 14 holes and eventually win 1up.
The victory, in Day’s third appearance in the event, will prove to be a big lift in the Queensland-born golfer being a member later this year in the International Team to contest the Presidents Cup.
