One of the leading officials in Algerian golf has been visiting St. Andrews.

Mr. Noureddine Djoudi is a former Algerian ambassador but nowadays is head of the Algerian Golf Federation.

While present at the Home of Golf, Mr. Djoudi met with the R & A’s Duncan Weir.

And speaking of ambassadors, Weir revealed the R & A is hopefully set to sign leading Norwegian female professional Suzann Pettersen as their newest ‘Ambassador of Golf’.

Pettersen, who has won a dozen times since turning pro including the 2007 McDonald’s Championship, will join Ireland’s triple-Major winning Padraig Harrington as an R & A Ambassadors.
