Padraig Harrington Has A Week Before Shaving Off Chopper Reid Image.

Triple Major winner Padraig Harrington has been delighting those present at this week’s Barclays Singapore Open with his latest facial ‘Movember’ creation.

The Dubliner arrived earlier in the week obviously not having shaven for a few days.

But once the $6m event finally got underway Harrington got out the razor but didn’t go completely facial hair free.

He arrived at the Sentosa Resort course sporting what many caddies joked has him looking like a famed Australian-born underworld criminal who later became the subject of the movie Chopper.

“A lot of the caddies reckon I look like Chopper Reid so I don’t know whether that’s a compliment or not,” he said smiling.

And when asked how long he will continue to sport this latest facial creation, Harrington responded: “Well put it this way, Caroline (wife) will be out in Hong Kong next week.”

Harrington had been at the course on Friday hoping to get his second round underway but persistent thunderstorm delays took care of that and all Harrington and those on the second side of the second round draw could do was to return to his hotel which he did shortly after 5pm local time Friday.

But then he did get to manage to commence his second round it again turned sour for Harrington who missed the Singapore halfway cut for a third straight occasion with scores of 74 and 73 for a five over par tally.
