Nicolas Colsaerts Returning To Finca Before Ryder Cup Looking For Good Vibes.

European rookie, Nicolas Colsaerts  will spend next week before the Ryder Cup looking for ‘good vibes’ at Finca Corstein and ‘chilling out’ working on his putting at Valderrrama.

Last May, Colsaerts over-powered former U.S. Open champion and now European team-mate, Graeme McDowell to capture the Volvo World Match-Play title at Fince Corstein on the Costa del Sol course.

Nicolas Colsaerts returning next week to Finca Cortsein looking for ‘good vibes’ ahead of contesting the Ryder Cup.

Victory, after six top-10s earlier the year, ignited the Belgium’s hope of qualifying for the European Team.

However despite eventually falling two places shy of automatically qualifying European Team captain, Jose Maria Olazabal rewarded the 29-year old with a ‘wildcard pick’.

Colsaerts is contesting this week’s BMW Italian Open ahead of venturing to Spain where he actually intends residing at Finca Corstein but practicing on the greens at the nearby Valderrama course.

“I feel that by heading back to Finca I can get some good vibes before the Ryder Cup and go next door to Valderrama and get use to putting on fast greens that I hear we can expect in Medinah,” said Colsaerts.

“I’m going to Vaderrama as they have the best greens in Europe and the management at the club said they would set up the greens to what we should find in the States, so that’s why I’m going there.

“Finca, as everyone will know, will always be very special to me having won my first European Tour event on European soil there earlier this year.

“I don’t intending playing Valderrrama itself rather that I will be just working on my putting on their greens.

“Also it will give me a chance to chill for five days and besides there is no way I could stay at home in Belgium for five days.

”So I’m not going to go ballistic working for hours at Valderrama, and besides it’s been a course that’s never been kind to me so you won’t see me with a driver or irons, just a putter.

“I felt the most important thing I need to work on is my putting and ‘hey man’, Valderrama is the place I need to be.”

Colsaerts was speaking ahead of this week’s BMW Italian Open where he play the opening two rounds in the company of Ryder Cup team mates, Martin Kaymer and Francesco Molinari.
