Once again, our very special thanks to members and staff of the Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club for hosting the media on Wednesday afternoon.
Despite it raining over the first handfull of holes for a second year running, it turned into a very enjoyable evening.
Mike McDonald, Club Secretary at Fortrose and Rosemarkie, organised for the Club Captain, eight fellow members and himself to tee-up alongside 10 members of the media covering the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open.
And while the media ‘were allowed to win’ 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 the rewarding aspect of the outing was the opportunity to again play a wonderful James Braid designed links gem and to share the enjoyement in such great company as the Fortrose and Rosemarkie members.
Mike went to a lot of trouble in organising meals for everyone so that when we finished around 10pm we could sit straight down to a hot meal.
So, from all the media present last night a very big thank you to Mike and everyone at Fortrose and Rosemarkie.
For those attending the Scottish Open, Fortrose and Rosemarkie is located on the Chanonry Peninsula and virtually opposite Castle Stuart.
