Brown’s final round 66 for a winning 22-under-par tally earned the 30-year-old a second Tour win while it opened the door on both Ramsay and Forrest to secure the last two automatic qualifying places into Thursday’s starting Genesis Scottish Open.
Brown denied fellow Englishman Jordan Smith who was runner-up in signing for 67 and ended two shots back of Brown at 20-under on the host Munchen Eichenried host course.
Forrest, who lives on this week’host Renaissance Estate, had faced an anxious week-long wait in being listed as the first reserve into the $9m Scottish event but with Brown and Smith also exempt, the Scottish Open entry door was flung open in the Bavarian capital to Forrest and Ramsay.

Forrest, who posted a closing 73 to end outside the top-50 at five-under said: “It’s a huge relief to get the confirmation I’m teeing-up this week.
“I didn’t even realise I wasn’t in until last week. I just assumed from where I finished last year, which was about 20 spots different from the moment, that I would be in.
“I had my fingers crossed that I would get into the Scottish being on my home course and a home event.
“Yeah, it is a massive week for us and I am really hoping to play well and, hopefully, turn my season around a bit.”
Ramsay closed out his German event with a 69 and a 11-under total but seemed all set to miss out on contesting his ‘Home’ open that he and wife Angela brought forward by this week a family holiday to Atlanta so Ramsay could tee-up in Thursday’s commencing $US 4m joint PGA/DP World Tour event in Louisville, Kentucky and up against the Scottish Open.
So, while Forrest moved into the Scottish Open, Ramsay has cancelled his Kentucky start and instead is thrilled to earn his East Lothian start being the highest-ranked non-exempt Scottish player.
Ramsay said: “Yes, that would be nice to break out the champers as I owe Dan and Jordan for sure.
“It’s a big relief as it’s been frustrating not knowing if I was in or not. I was only saying to someone there ‘I’m either playing in Gullane next week or Kentucky (laughing), which I have never had anything like in 16 years out here.
“The problem as well is that if I flew to Kentucky on Monday and someone pulled out, I would be beyond upset. So, when do I leave it until Tuesday is probably too late to be travelling out to Kentucky.
“It’s just great to now be playing in the Scottish. It means I can now go to the tournament and get free Haribo’s in the Renaissance locker-room (laughing)”.
Forrest and Ramsay in the Scottish field now brings to six number of Scots in this week’s field, headed by defending champ and US Open runner-up Bob MacIntyre.
Scott Jamieson, who is competing in Kentucky, ended his Munich week with a closing 71 for an 11-under tally.
