Northern Ireland’s Tom McKibbon will become the second LIV golfer to win on this year’s DP World Tour should he capture the Porsche Singapore Classic.
McKibbon took to the second round of the rain-affected event sensationally soaring to the top, grabbing two eagles in his round of 65 and end the day in a five-way share of second at 10-under par.
American Dan Erikson then broke the five-way log-jam in posting a 64 to move one clear at 11-under on the host Laguna National course.
McKibbon created a shockwave on the DP World Tour when it was confirmed days after the Ras Al Khaimah Championship he was joining the LIV Golf League.
Four events into this maiden 2023 DP World Tour season, McKibbon was tied for the lead at the halfway stage of the Singapore Classic and then his ‘lucky’ 13th event he captured a maiden Tour title at the Porsche European Open in Germany.
Now two years on, the 22-year-old McKibbon is only one shot off the lead in the 2025 Porsche sponsored Singapore Classic and if he were to win in the tiny island nation, he woud join Hero Dubai Desert Classic winner Tyrrell Hatton as a second LIV-attached star to win on the DP World Tour.
