Gallacher Grabs Two Closing Birdies To Maintain Share Of Lead Day Three Champions Tour Qualifier In California

Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher continues his brilliant show of over-50 form in birdieing his closing two holes and share the lead heading into the final round of a 2025 Champions Tour qualifier in California.

Gallacher, who turned the big Five Zero on November 1st, and with son Jack again acting as caddy, shared the lead on day one and then led by two shots after the second day and tee-up in the fourth and final 18-holes with Gallacher tied at the top on 11-under with American amateur Jeremy DeFalco, who signed for a 69 on the host Soboba Springs GC course at San Jacinto.

The top-20 at the end of Friday’s final round will then join some 40 other qualifiers from last week, including fellow Scot David Drysdale in heading to the famed TPC Scottsdale course in Phoenix, Arizona where from December 3rd to 6th they will be striving to be among the top-5 finishers over the four rounds and earn a full 2025 Champions Tour membership card.

Well done Stevie and keep it going!
