Two months ago, Viktor Hovland and Collin Morikawa were Ryder Cup rivals in Rome
However for the past two years, the Norwegian and the American have been sharing a house within the exclusive Albany resort in The Bahamas.
Their house-sharing the last two years also ended with Hovland being handed the ‘Tiger’ trophy by tournament host, Tiger Woods and winning back-to-back matches also matched the effort by Woods in 2006 and ’07.
Though in the 23-year history of the event no-one has won the tournament three years running.

Morikawa was asked if this week’s home-sharing arrangement between the current World No. 4 and the No. 14 ranked players, is in place and also given Hovland’s record in the event, if he should not allow Hovland the master bedroom and Morikawa sleep in another room.
And Morikawa’s response will have you laughing.
“No, no, no, I gave Vicktor the master bedroom this year”, said Morikawa smiling.
“I had the master bedroom the past two years and that hasn’t worked out for me, but it has for him. So I decided, and I texted him yesterday to make sure he was taking the master bedroom.
“We showed up at the house at like 3:00 a.m. today, so it was nice to find my little guest room in the corner. He’s got everything he needs.
This will be the last year, though. If he wins this, this will be the last year. I am going to find someone else to stay with. Something has to change, something has to give”.
Ah, it’s stories like this why we luv the game!
