Scotland’s Richie Ramsay has ended a 17th straight DP World Tour season on a disappointing note with injury forcing him to withdraw after just eight holes of the Genesis Championship in Seoul, South Korea.
Ramsay, 42, was actually two-under through six first round holes before dropping a shot at the par-3 seventh hole. He pared the par-5 eighth hole ahead of advising his playing partners he was not continuing.
The four-time Tour winning Scot arrived in the South Korean capital lying 85th on the Race to Dubai money list and looking to break into the top-70 that would secure his place in next fortnight’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the opening event of the closing two tournaments on the 2025 Race to Dubai schedule.
