Despite bizarre late set-backs it’s an official case of ‘mission accomplished’ for the Scottish duo of Ewen Ferguson and Richie Ramsay post the close of the Genesis Championship in Seoul, South Korea.
Ferguson had headed to New Delhi for the P World India Championship lying 41st on the Race to Dubai but found himself being denied entry due to a visa issue and thus leaving the country.
There was no issue touching down into Seoul and teeing-up lying 43rd on the Race to Dubai and despite posting four bogeys in a final round 73 for a share of 42nd place at one-under, the Dubai-based Scot headed home also lying 42nd on the rankings.

It means he’ll now have the assurance of three weeks at home in his palatial Dubai abode.
Those being this first week with a DP World Tour week off for all from competition ahead of the closing fortnight of the 2025 season and those being a pair of play-off events starting November 6th for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and a week later with the annual DP World Tour Championship season-ender in his home city of Dubai.
Naturally, Ferguson’s goal first will be a fourth DP World Tour title while he’ll also looking to end the season finishing better than a career high of 17th in his then maiden 2022 full Tour season.
He’ll then take the very short drive to the Jumeirah Estates resort to join Bob MacIntrye (6th), Calum Hill (37th), Grant Forrest (45th) and Connor Syme (47th) in the $US 9m event.
Ramsay, in contrast, was forced out of the Korean after just eight first round holes due to injury and headed straight home.
His goal in Seoul was to hopefully break into the top-70 on the Race to Dubai and the guarantee of joining Ferguson and company in Abu Dhabi but after his WD the four-time Tour winners concern, and at 85th on the money list was not to lose his Tour card by dropping outside the top-115.
Ramsay could breathe easy dropping only five places to end his year at 90th on the rankings and the assurance of full 2026 Tour membership for a 19th straight year.
Scott Jamieson was heading home to Florida on a bright note having shot a Seoul closing 66 to finish equal leading Scot in 21st place with Calum Hill on four-under. The effort also saw Jamieson end his year 88th on the Race to Dubai.
Jamieson has now retained his full Tour for a 15th straight season since his maiden 2011 season.
As well, all six Scots who commenced the 2025 season have retained full Tour status for 2026.
