McIlroy was in the rough down the right side of the 16th hole and just about to play his second shot into the green when a spectator shouted something in his direction.

Rors reacted to the derogatory comments walking away in disgust from his shot and not holding back in letting loose with his brutal F-letter word loaded and what clearly was also very much ‘I’ve had enough of this’ outburst.
Suffice to say the crowd went silent at this rare example of frustration from golf’s newest Grand Slam winning hero and with McIlroy landing his second shot brilliantly to 10 feet from the cup ahead of Fleetwood holing the birdie for the pair to win the match 3 & 2 over USA rivals Harris English and Colin Morikawa.
The win was the second for Europe on day two taking Luke Donald’s men to 6 1/2 to 3 1/2 after the American duo of Bryson DeChampbeau and Cameron Young defeated Europe’s Matt Fitzpatrick and Ludwig Auberg 4 & 2 in the opening match on day two.
McIlroy and Fleetwood, who had 5 & 4 on Friday over Harris English and Collin Morikawa, were approached by SKY after their round.
Fleetwood was asked first of his partnership with McIlroy, saying: “Well it’s Rory McIlroy. I can play from a lot of the places where he hits it, and we loved getting the chance to play together in Rome.
“Our games match really nicely, we’re very close off the course. Like Rory has already said, our families are really close.
“I’m just the lucky one that gets to play alongside Rory McIlroy in the foursomes, and I’ll take that any day.”
McIlroy responded to his golfing relationship with Fleetwood saying: “We just had to focus on the task at hand and I think in the team fourmat no matter whether it’s fourballs or foursomes it makes a little better to stick togethter with your partner.
“It’s always an absolute partner to play alongide Tommy.
“We had a great time in Rome and now we’ve had two great wins here and excited where are team is but he have to keep the foot down”.
Well said both Tommy and Rors.
