Tiger Woods has bravely spoken publically for a first time since the passing of his much-loved mother at the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines.
Woods, as the tournament host, arrived at the South Course just as the leaders were heading for the final round of the $20m Signature event.
He met with World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler before he teed-off and then accepted an invitation to speak live with CBS Sports commentators Jim Nantz and fellow Masters-winning Trevor Immelman.

And while initially revealing more of the relationship with his mother he was asked late in his chat with Jim and Trevor his thoughts on the current state of the men’s professional game, particulary following the most recent meeting with US President Donald Trump, a visit to the White House Woods had to decline due to the passing of his mother.
“I think we’re in a very positive place right now. We had a meeting with the president”, he said.
“Unfortunately, I had some other circumstances that came up, but Jay and Adam, they did great during the meeting, and we have another subsequent meeting coming up.
“I think that things are going to heal quickly. We’re going to get this game going in the right direction. It’s been heading in the wrong direction for a number of years and the fans want all of us to play together, all the top players playing together and we’re going to make that
happen”.
