Prior to this week there had been just one ace in the 26 year prior history of the PNC Championship.
Well that all changed after just eight holes in the second and final round at the 27th hosting of the championship as it was firstly Charlie Woods, and the 15-year-old son of Tiger Woods acing the par-3 fourth hole and around 30-minutes later and Paddy Harrington, son of three-time major winner Padraig Harrington stepped-up to ace the par-3 eighth hole on the host Ritz Carlton course in Orlando.
Charlie pulled out a 7-iron to ace the 175-yard fourth while Paddy was going with a 5-iron but instead choosing a 6-iron to hole out from 185-yards.
And more remarkably it is a first time for both young boys since they have been playing golf they’re recorded a hole-in-one and let alone with the whole golfing world looking on.
Also, great to see was the reaction from the major-winning fathers as you have never seen two dads so happy for their sons.
And all aces in the history of the event have been from the sons of the major champions.
