Scotland’s David Drysdale is confident of teeing-up in next fortnight’s final event of his rookie Asian Tour season.
Drysdale, 48, was forced to withdraw from Thursday’s opening round of the Tawian Glass Taifong Open due to a reoccurrence of an old neck injury.
The Callaway-attached Drysdale battled through 15 holes in the penultimate event of the year before withdrawing from the host Taifong club.
“I was gutted to have to retire and it was an old niggling neck injury”, he said.

“I felt it on the first tee and tried my best to battle through the pain barrier, and managed to do that until the 15th, as the pain was getting worst.
“So Vicky (caddy/wife) and I thought it best, by way of a precautionary measure, we withdraw and not aggravate the injury any further.
“There’s a fortnight to the final event of the season in Saudi, so I’ll get some physio done and just give it rest. Hopefully, we’ll be ready to go again for Saudi”.
Drysdale arrived back to Taiwan for a second tour event in two months lying 48th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, and with the leading 80 to tee-up in the Saudi capital for the December 14-17 Saudi Open.
