Doing It Tough On Tour – Visiting Lochranza Distillery & Visitor Centre.

It was a great way to celebrate one’s birthday – visiting the Lochranza Distillery & Visitor Centre on the Isle of Arran.

The centre, and open 7 days a week, is owned by the award winning Isle of Arran Distillers Ltd, is situated in the beautiful village of Lochranza at the north end of the Isle of Arran.

We had arrived on Arran a few days earlier and enjoyed playing golf at Whiting Bay and Shiskine golf clubs, so what a wonderful offical last stop before boading the ferry and returning to the Scottish mainland via the Lochranza ferry to Claonaig from where it was an easy drive south to Campbelltown

Distillery tours and whisky tastings are available and for further  www.arranwhisky.com

And as Micky, Bazza and Paul so kindly raised a glass on the occasion of my … cough, cough … birthday, I graciously responded, and as they do in Scotland, by saying:  “Slàinte Mhath (Pronounced Slanj-a-va)”.

Bazza, looking as though he’s had a few drams already, along with Micky and 007.

Surely, can’t leave without a bottle

However while Micky and 007 are happy with a wee dram, Bazza’s looking to take home a cask

“Sexy legs” Bernie wins his maiden trophy

And now to board the CalMac ferry (Next day post our whisky visit) back to the Scottish mainland and continue our 2022 golfing adventure.
