The record-breaking duo of Rickie Fowler and his fellow American Xander Schauffele, setting a new championship record of 62 and some 30-minutes apart from each other on the opening day of the U.S. Open.
It is only a third time in the history of the four men’s majors someone has shot 62 and Fowler and Schauffele now joining South African Branden Grace who posted golf’s then lowest round during the 2017 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
