Fowler Lights Up Beverly Hills Creating US Open History Shooting 62

Rickie Fowler, 34, and runner-up in the event nine-years ago, grabbed the official course record, posting 10 birdiesĀ in an eight-under 62.

In doing so, Fowler became the first player in U.S. Open history to shoot a 62, and one fewer than Johnnie Miller’s closing 63 to win the 1973 and 73rd U.S. Open at Oakmont.
