Fox Lands Maiden Tour Ace But No Car At Slynco.io Dubai Desert Classic

Kiwi Ryan Fox landed a first ace of his DP World Tour career holing a 152-yard, 9-iron shot at the par-3 fourth hole early on day one of the Slynco.in Dubai Desert Classic

It was the 35-year-old Fox’s first ace on the DP World Tour and the sixth in his pro career

“It was nice to see it go in and my first hole-in-one on tour”, said Fox in speaking exclusively to www.golfbytourmiss.comĀ

Unfortunately, for the 12-time winning Fox there was no brand new motor as a prize nor a cash reward.

“No, nothing other than the honour on the next tee (smiling)”.

Fox was out on day three of the Dubai event in the third group having posted opening round scores of 72 and 73.

The start of his round makes for bizarre reading having – 5, 7, 5, 1, 5, 4, 3, 5 and a great ninth hole birdie 3.

The ninth hole signalled a turnaround who then birdied four of his closing nine holes in an eventual score of 69 for a three-round two-under-par tally.
