TPC Boston, MA …
Tiger Woods will look to end his on-course putting woes packing a TaylorMade ‘Juno’ prototype putter not yet on the market into his ‘Monster Energy’ bag heading into this week’s Dell Technologies Championship near Boston.
Woods is currently ranked the 26th best putter on the Tour averaging 28.52 putts for each of the 54 rounds he has contested this year.
But in breaking down the stats to look at a player’s round-by-round statistics Woods has struggled over the closing three rounds in the tournaments he’s contested.

The current World No. 26 is ranked 5th overall in putting on day one of the events he has played in 2018 but drops to 75th for round two, 56th for round three and down to 74th in terms of the best putter on day four.
That was no more evident than at last week’s Northern Trust when Woods posted 35 putts on day two of the event in a level par 71.
It is no surprise then he has turned to using a new putter and he did so in Thursday’s Dell Technologies Pro-Am to positive effect including birding his opening two holes and a number of other holes and then eagling the par-5 18th hole on the TPC Boston course.
“We’ve been working on this since July, to make one very similar to my Scotty (Cameron) all those years,” said Woods at the end of the Pro-Am.

“I’ve been asking for one that looks like it in the shape, but also has the technology with the grooves in it.”
Woods began 2018 using his famed Scotty Cameron Newport 2 putter that saw him dominate the game throughout the late ’90s and into the early 2000s.
He switched to a TaylorMade TP Collection Ardmore 3 mallet putter for the QuickenLoans National in July and where he finished T4th behind Francesco Molinari.
Now he will tee-up in what is a 16th tournament of the year with a putter that is yet on the market, a TaylorMade TP Collection Black Copper Juno prototype putter that clearly looks good in his hand.
“I’ve stuck with the Ardmore for as long as I can, because obviously it swings and has the technology and the roll,” said Woods.
“This one, God, it feels like my old one. So, it just feels so good.”
And Woods felt so good with this newest putter he allowed a 13-youngest Brady Weglowski to putt out on the 17th green and with young Bradley delighting Woods and the crowd in two-putting from some 40-feet (see video above)
