TPC Boston, MA …
Tiger Woods insists the only way he can rekindle the dominance of his 14-Majors winning career is to keep putting him ‘in the mix’.
Woods arrived into Boston late Wednesday night ahead of teeing-up tomorrow (Friday) in the opening round of the $US 9m Dell Technologies Championship.
It is the first time he has competed at TPC Boston, and just to the south of the city, since a bottom of the board result in 2013 and with his best finish a share of second in 2007 behind Phil Mickelson.

Woods is contesting a 16th event this season having gone close to victory in three events, and two of those Majors, while he’s enjoyed four other top-10s as he seeks to end more than a five-year winless drought.
And Woods was asked what he thought he needed to do to regain the competitive edge that at the end of the 1990s and early 2000s brought fear to his rivals.
“The thing is for me is to just keep getting there in the mix and keeping getting there on that back nine late on a Sunday with a chance to win,” he said.
“I responded well at the Valspar Championship (Second to England’s Paul Casey) and I stayed there at Bay Hill (T5th in the Arnold Palmer Invitational) and at The Players (T11th) and even at the Open Championship (T6th).
“I learned from those while I did really well at the PGA Championship (Second).
“So, it is just a matter of giving myself a lot of opportunities and in order to win you have to be there.
“I’ve been there enough this year and clearly learned a lot from it.”.
