Woods Confirms He Remains Comfortable Continuing Without A Coach.

Paramus, New Jersey …

It has been officially some nine months since Tiger Woods officially worked with a coach.

In this time he’s been able to show to the golf world he not has the game to win what would be an 80th PGA Tour title but also capture a 15th Major as we saw last fortnight in St. Louis.

The now 42-year old had just posted a Northern Trust closing round 70 for a then share of 34th place at four-under par.

Tiger Woods confirms he remains comfortable without a formal coach.

A check of his overall Ridgewood Country Club statistics reveal the following:

Fairways Hit – 38 of 56

Greens in Regulation – 52 of 72

Putts – 120 (29 1st round, 35 2nd round and 28 both the 3rd and 4th round)

It prompted Bernie here at www.golfbytourmiss.com to ask Woods if he still remained comfortable without a coach.

Bernie.  Tiger, I’m notsuggesting for one minute that you need a coach, but are you still happy going it alone as you are at the moment?

TIGER WOODS:  “I am. I don’t have a coach at the moment. I’m looking at a lot of replay and video or just analyzing what I do.

“So yeah, I’m going about doing this on my own this entire year, and basically, since my back was fused.”

Of course, since turning pro in late 1996 Woods has worked with four swing coaches – Butch Harmon, Hank Haney, Sean Foley and Chris Como.
