TPC Boston, MA ….
Russell Knox has promised Scotland will have their two strongest World Ranked golfers flying the Tartan colours in this year’s ISPS Handa World Cup of Golf in Australia.

Scotland’s Russell Knox promising Scotland’s top two World Ranked players wil contest the 2018 World Cup in Australia.
Knox took some criticism two years ago in selecting good friend, Duncan Stewart and then ranked No. 324 in the world and this despite the duo combing well to shoot a final round 65 and share eighth place.
But there will be no arguments this year with the World No. 57 ranked Knox, and as Scotland’s highest ranked golfer, choosing either Martin Laird (155th in the world) or fellow Florida-based Scott Jamieson (173rd) as his partner for the event starting November 24th in Melbourne.
While Knox made his Scotland debut two years ago, the present World No. 155th ranked Laird played in both the 2011 and 2013 World Cup.
Jamieson has yet to play the World Cup.
And Knox, as an exempt player, will have to September 20th to select his playing partner.
Knox said: “I am going to pick Martin as he is the next highest-ranked player.
“Martin and I have become much closer in the past few years but if Scott Jamieson were to pass him then I would pick Scott.
“I played the World Cup for a first time at the end of ’16 and really enjoyed it so I am looking forward to heading back ‘down under’ later in the season.”
Knox was speaking ahead of Friday’s start to the $US 9m Dell Technologies Championship near Boston and with the current FedEx Cup ranked No. 93 needing to inside the leading 60 at the end of the event in order to qualify for next week’s BMW Championship in Philadelphia.
And Knox has brought with him a new addition to the ‘family’ and that is a luxury motor-home he and wife, Andrea drove-up from last week’s Tour stop in New Jersey.
He said: “The RV is great and with all the comforts of home, and it’s parked just 15-minutes away so we’re loving it.”
