Getting Engaged Is Catching On The PGA Tour As Fowler Joins Spieth In Popping The Question

Memphis, TN ….

It seems getting engaged is catching on the PGA Tour with Rickie Fowler the latest set to tie the knot.

Fowler and girlfriend, Allison Stokke were walking along the Atlantic Ocean shoreline, and no doubt close to his Jupiter abode in Florida, when the current World No. 7 turned around the brim of his his Puma golf cap, and got down on one knee to pop the question.

And in a response that will disappoint many of Fowler’s female followers Stokke did not hesitate in saying ‘Yes’.

Rickie Fowler’s girlfriend Allison Stokke is just ‘Stokked’ to be getting engaged to the current World No. 7

“Today is national best friend day so I wanted to lock mine down ….  I won,” Fowler posted Friday on Instagram.

Fowler posted two photos from the proposal. He was kneeling down on the shoreline in the first photo as he asked Stokke the question. Stokke showed off a huge diamond ring in the second photo.

“Yes! And happy national best friend day to my best best friend! I love you,” Stokke wrote on her own Instagram page.

Fowler and Stokke’s posts had more than 400,000 combined likes as of Saturday afternoon. Fowler’s post includes comments from many athletes and celebrities, including Tom Brady,  Justin Timberlake and surfing sensation Kelly Slater.

Fellow PGA Tour pros to send their congratulations include World No. 1 Justin Thomas, Smylie Kaufman and England’s Ian Poulter.

“Hell yeah, let’s go,” Kaufman wrote. “Congrats to you two. Three down one to go.”

There was that great photo of Fowler at the 2016 Ryder Cup victory celebrations standing all on his lonesome among his Hazeltine team-mates were hugging and kissing their partners.

Last Christmas four-time Major winner Jordan Spieth got engaged to his longtime sweetheart, Annie Verret.
