Dustin Johnson declares no physical issues after shooting a two under par 7o day one of the Wells Fargo Championship.
And in regular stroke-play, it was also Johnson’s 13th round in succession under par.
It left the American trailing four strokes behind Italy’s Francesco Molinari who chipped-in twice in a sizzling six-under par 66 on the immaculate Eagle Point Golf Club course.
And the good thing is that “DJ” declared there was no ill-effects following his freak injury on the eve of the Masters.
“I feel good. As far as physically, no issues. That’s a good thing”, he said.
“I just need to get some rounds in, get some more reps, but I feel like the golf swing’s in good shape.
“If I hit it like I did today the next few days, then I’ll be right there on Sunday.”
