McIlroy 5/2 To Surpass Woods’ Majors Record & 40/1 To Win All Four 2015 Majors.

World No. 1 Rory McIlroy got 2015 off to the perfect start by winning the Dubai Desert Classic and BoyleSports can report that punters have supported him further to go one better than his runner up spot in 2014 and win the 2015 BBC Sports Personalty of the Year award after being rudely denied last year.

McIlroy is now 7/1 from 9/1 following support. The Northern Irish golfer is red hot at 1/2 to win the 2015 Race To Dubai and is currently 2/1 to win the PGA Tour Money List.

Its 6/4 that McIlroy can win one Major in 2015 with 5/4 on offer that he will draw a blank. McIlroy can be backed at 40/1 to win all 4 Majors this year.

Tiger Woods has currently won 14 Majors and with McIlroy having already won four Majors so far in his career he is priced at 5/2 to surpass Tiger’s record. 13/2 is the price on offer that McIlroy will surpass the record of 18 Majors held currently by Jack Nicklaus.

Liam Glynn, PR Executive at BoyleSports said “Punters have latched onto Rory McIlroy to win the 2015 BBC SPOTY following his excellent start to the year and our traders have had to cut him into 7/1 from 9/1 after a flurry of bets including one five figure bet placed online.”

He added “McIlroy always attracts support ahead of the major competitions and our traders’ are keen to keep the Holywood native on their side throughout the year. If he keeps up his excellent start to the year we may well be in for a bit of a bashing. Its 4/1 that McIlroy can repeat his Majors success of 2014 and win two Majors in 2015.”
