Four-time Major winner Rory McIlroy has shown he’s serious about the coming 2015 season after his first official practice session at the Els Club in Dubai.
The current World No. 1 tweeted a snap of a perspiration soaked t-shirt and also what was left of the area at the Els Club where he is working under the watchful eye of long-time coach, Michael Bannon.
Here’s the picture of McIlroy’s t-shirt.
“My body officially hates me after Christmas!’ was the 25-year-old’s comment on Twitter.
McIlroy has recently been enjoying a spell back at home in Northern Ireland during golf’s off-season. The Holywood-born superstar was spotted wrapped up in winter clothing watching his favouite rugby team, Ulster, in action during the holiday period.
However McIlroy has again made his way to Dubai and the Els Club practice range as the picture shows.
‘First range session of 2015 done… First couple of swings after four weeks without touching a club were interesting!’ he said.

McIlroy is gearing up for his return to action in 2015 and with his first tournament being next week’s 10th anniversary Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, which begins in the Emirate on January 15.
World No 2 Henrik Stenson, No 5 Justin Rose and three-time champion Martin Kaymer will be among the 126-man field challenging for the title, which will be defended by Ryder Cup hero Jamie Donaldson.
American star Rickie Fowler will also make his debut in the Middle East alongside more veterans of the duel at Gleneagles, Victor Dubuisson, Thomas Bjorn and Stephen Gallacher.
And American Chris Di Marco will be returning to Abu Dhabi after he became the first-ever winner of the championship in 1995, and with his wife acting as caddy.
