Tiger Woods Soaks Rory McIlroy To Win ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ – Video.

Tiger Woods gave Rory McIlroy a right royal soaking in winning their ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’ while the pair were visiting the Big Apple.

The Challenge was a promotion between the Nike staff players for ALS after both Woods and McIlroy had been nominated as the two most popular choices.

Ahead of being doused, Tiger nominated Phil Knight and Rafael Nadal while Rory nominated George W. Bush, Wayne Rooney, and a model and actor named Meghan Markle.

But as you can see from the video it was the 14-time Major winning Woods who managed to get the most water and ice over tipped over his opponent.

About the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that impacts nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. It is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease or here in Ireland as Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The challenge was originally the idea of Massachusetts resident Pete Frates, 29, a former college athlete who has been living with ALS since 2012.

The idea is to grab a bucket of ice water and throw it over yourself, then nominate three other people to do the same thing, with the video posted to YouTube, Facebook or Instagram. Anyone who is challenged must do the same thing within 24 hours or donate $100 to the ALS Association (most people do both).

Celebrities to have taken the challenge include Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Niall Horan, Cristiano Ronaldo, Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Iggy Azalea and many, many more.
